Dracula: Complete Collection

Description

This one-of-a-kind book vault and codex was created based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 book. It includes elements that could be considered spoilers, if such things can exist for a 127 year old story.

The book is not just a book, it is a collection of ephemera: journal entries, letters folded regency-style (some with real wax seals), vintage British telegrams, a train ticket, newspaper articles (complete with advertisements and period-accurate paper). It is hand-sewn and hand-bound in smooth black leather with handmade painted endpages (dark red and shimmery). On the front is affixed a red wax seal bearing an ornate D. Wide black chiffon ribbon with a gold victorian-style crucifix holds the white-wove pages of the book closed.

The box that holds the book is styled like a mausoleum, with gargoyles on pillars, a box of dirt, and removable LED lamps. The lid slides off to reveal a shattered mirror facing an opulent, fur-lined container with pillars, caryatids, and black filigree accents on mottled red panels. The fur lining holds a secret: a removable panel, beneath which lies Lucy’s memorandum in pieces which must be assembled to be read.

The box comes with two vintage maps of Transylvania (one small, one large and suitable for framing, plus four maps of vintage London with important places marked, all in a scroll sealed with the same wax seal as the cover. It also includes a copy of Carmilla, bound in shimmery red leather embossed with flowers and flourishes, and encased in a black velvet bag decorated with an ornate red metallic letter C.
